Between headstand and handstand?

Teachanolddognewtricks?

What is this particular inversion called - does it have a role in gymnastics - it certainly looks really good - and like something I've seen done during floor exercises. In any event do you think would it be easier or harder than a handstand ?

Thanks!

It's an elbow stand variation. In yoga pincha mayurasana variation.

Harder than headstand as it requires more shoulder strength but much much easier than a good handstand.

It's something to play with but it's necessity is super limited in the realms of competitive gymnastics. It might make for some interesting floor choreography for a women's routine.

Also good when you want to impress the yoga chicks with your skillz.  :D
