online classes vs foundation 1 for busy premed student

I listened to Coach Sommer on the Paleo Solution podcast and I was inspired to give gymnastic bodies a try. I am 32 years old and a premed student. I am in class from 9am-6pm daily, plus other life responsibilities, wife, dog etc etc. I have been pretty athletic in the past, at one point I could do 15 dead hang pull-ups, and then I got into BJJ for a few years and my overall strength numbers went down as I didn’t focus on calisthenics. 

 
Due to a very tight schedule, I am looking for a program that is short and sweet that’ll help me maintain any strength I still have. I see that there are online classes that have a time frame of about 30 minutes. For someone with very limited time, which would be a better, starting the F1 series, or doing a beginner class. I do like the idea of structure of following along to an online class. In theory, the next 4 or so years of my life is going to be this schedule, so just trying to have my body not go to crap. Ironically, being back in med school has made me the most desk bound I’ve been in about 8 years, fun times!
 
Additionally, if I go with the F1 series, do I have access to the forums, or do I need to buy the package for forum access?

I'm 40, wife, 4 cats, 2 toddlers and a full time demanding job, so not much sleep or available time. I started F1 not long ago, so my experience is limited, but I'm able to fit the F1 and Stretch Series in my schedule, along with a little cardio.

The reality is that I have to scale down the volume. Probably a mix of age, little sleep, being on a weight loss diet, or just tiredness because I can only train after 9:30pm, is causing me to not be able to handle training each element of F1 twice a week so I decided to break down F1 in smaller workouts and train each element once a week and I'll see if I can safely increase volume in the future.

 

One of the reasons I like F1 in my situation is that because the progressions are so clearly structured, I can monitor easily my progress, even with my restricted schedule.

 

Just because I have to scale down volume that doesn't mean that I have to give up on a structured progression. It just means that it will be slower, and that's fine by me, because I'm happy about all the other things that make my life so buys ;-).

Being a med student myself, I know your pain ;)

If you start F1 as a 3, 4 or 5 day split, you should be able to complete one workout in (optimally) less than 30 minutes, given you work the elements back to back with no additional rest in between sets and minimal rest between exercises.

If you buy a course, you will get access to the respective private forum.
