LilRunt
I have looked around the forums and have seen a lot of mixed answers about this, but what hold times should you exactly be going for? I've seen people say 60 seconds total, 3x60s, 3x30s, 5x30s, 5x60s. I'm a little bit confused about this. As of right now I am aiming for 3x60s for most of my static exercises, is this what I should be going for? Also what amount of SetsxReps should I be going for in most of the dynamic exercises? I've also seen mixed answers for this, saying 3x(as many as you can do in 30s or 60s), 3x5, 5x5, or something going past 10 reps.
GoldenEagle
If you aren't following the Foundation series and/or Handstand series. Stick with your personal goals.
Daniel Burnham
The foundation series provides an excellent progression of rep schemes needed to move on to further exercises. If you do not have it you must rely on information given around here. There are a few general rules you can follow. As intensity becomes greater you can limit the volume more. I personally add more reps to many of the foundation exercise. Doing more won't really hurt you unless you are overtraining. It just isn't necessary to move on. Alexander Egebak
"As intensity becomes greater you can limit the volume more" OP, this means lowering hold time and number of reps, but a minimum of working sets must be kept. What the number exactly should be is restricted to forum members or those that are able to figure it out on their own.

hype
What's workong for me is the following:For static:Everything before straddle positions, you must be able to hold for 60s before upingThen from straddle to full, aim for 10-15 sec before uping to harder variation. To find the number of sets just do max hold/2 = ur hold time per set, and u divide 60 by that = ur amount of setsFor dynamic, I just do 5-8 reps and do as much sets as possible.. i dont have a particular number of reps/sets that I haveto reach before uping, I just up when I feel comfortable with the variation Im working on.Again this is what works for me, diesnt mean it will work for you
