asgarrath
Hey guys, ive been having this weird pain in my left forearm ever since i started working out, basically it feels like someone is ripping my forearm flesh apart with meat hooks every time i do planches on paralettes (and before back levers).Ive tried eating more fish oil, resting, bone gelatine, ice massages but nothing works and the pain never goes away...Im also 165cm 80kg but nevertheless had this pain even when i was 64kg.Tried going to doctor but they said its nothing and that i shouldnt worry (lol)
Julian Aldag
Its most likely your body telling you that it is not ready for your current training. How long has it been this way? Does it hurt during the actual planche training, or when you release the tension off the muscle? Also could you give us a picture of where the pain is? I'm guessing it's forearm splits, also known as pommel arm. If this is the case, the only thing you can do is get off of it and rest it. Focus on other elements that don't require gripping while it heals.
asgarrath
Yes i think its forearm splints myself, ive had it ever since i started working out at all.The pain starts when i grip really tightly and when i release it gets 10 times stronger, the pain is in my left arm in the area shown in the picture I only train front levers, back levers, handstands and planches by the way.Tried resting from planche for 2 months nothing happened
Philipp Zimmermann
You can try to do some easy stretching and foamrolling. http://tennisarm.ch/index.htm?/behan1.htmThe last two exercises are good, but be careful and don´t do to much till it gets better. You can also find a lot of topics about the problem on the forum with more infos. I hope this will help!
