FrankyG
I have some pain in my left hand from doing handstands, flares and bboy moves/freezes. Now I have no doubt that I am not perfect with the form of these moves but I've never had this pain in my right hand only my left.I am Right handed, which I think has something to do with it, but I also noticed I leave my left hand on the ground way too long when coming around for a second flare.Either way it started hurting from doing handstand a lot, not flares. I don't know exactly what to do to heal it properly because there aren't any medical cases I've seen or any type of post anywhere on the internet explaining someone with the same symptoms. It's very slightly swollen, no bruising, only throbs after I've tried doing something with it. Here is a picture for clarity of where the pain is and what sets it off.I feel the most intense pain in the area in red, and also when I put pressure on that joint in that area it hurts. No where else hurts from pressure, only from movement.I hurt them yesterday when doing a flare, came around for a second one, placed my hand to far in and put a lot of weight on it and it gave. Felt like a muscle pull if anything.
Jonas Hohmann Hohmann
With those "overuse injuries", how I will call this, its almost always the same:To heal it, you need to rest it most of all,In the beginning, icing the area can help, later applying heat to the area as well as very light movements and mobility could br beneficial by improving blood flow. When you think youre fully healed ( better delay that point of time some more then, to avoid re-flareups), strengthening and conditioning youre wrists in all ranges of motion would be wise to do. ( But- start out light there again if you were hosting an injury..)Thats about the way to go,just dedicate some love and time everyday for some minutes to your wrists, it will pay off,Stay strong,Jonas

I have some thera-bands and have been doing some myself as well as working on flexibility but I wager that you guys being gymnasts would be more knowledgeable about which ones are best. Also I don't understand why this only happened in my left hand and not my right. Is that a balance issue when I do handstands? I noticed that it was hurting when I started training them a lot but only in the left. I am right hand dominant.
