Paulo
Getting in some ring action every now and then during my foot rehab as to not loose the strength ive built up so far. Noticed my Tuck PL is feeling more solid and i'll attribute it to the iron cross training ive been doing a lil. How we lookin?

Paulo
iron cross comes after planche on the rings..Can't train both at same time? and when you say Planche, do you have to have a full planche before moving on to IC or is straddle enough? Alessandro Mainente
i have only a couple of seconds of straddle planche on the rings. for Coach Sommer's pre reqs, the straddle pl on the rings is required as a fundamental point for elbows conditioning. str pl is only a little part of the reqs you need. if you can, watch for the iron cross preparation sets that Coach shared with us in the forum. this preparation included L-sit, handstand and planche on the rings just to recall some of them.reach a str planche on rings and only after approach to IC is a matter of correct joints preparation, and i had experienced it on my self. little steps let to the same result as long step. but if the step is longer than your leg..you will fall! build up your strength with foundation one, one day you will thank the coach!
Paulo
thank you for the advice, i will work on my PL more before coming back to IC stuff..just thought i'd share the carryover strength I had received from the IC assistance at my gymnastic gym, but it more likely due to overall training..my arms/elbows/joints are defiantly not prepared for the full amount of IC training. I will focus on foundation work once i get the series
Joshua Slocum
One thing to keep in mind is that your rings are set to a very short length. This makes static holds significantly easier because the shorter rings are more stable.
Klaudius Petrulis
One thing to keep in mind is that your rings are set to a very short length.
