    Pain from pistol squats

Back in July, I did some pistol some squats during a workout and 2 days after I had pain between my great toe and my ankle. It felt like a tendon pain. I couldn't extend my foot in both sides (plantar flexion and dorsiflexion) because the pain would've had come back. I stayed away from working out so in the end of November I came back to training. Eveything was going good so far. On Thursday I've done some pistol squats. Everything was fine, but after 2 days,(I felt some tickling in that area, and after that) I had the same issue only in my right foot, but it feels uncomfortable only in the plantar flexion this time(on calf raises, while walking up the stairs, flexing my foot by my own and sometimes when I twist my foot). I applied ice in the area before I went to sleep for about 10 minutes, and the day after I tried to test if it's going better. I felt no pain at first, but after some plantar flexion attempts, the pain came back. It feels like something is "pinching" me in that area. I someitmes even felt the sound my foot makes if that makes sense to you. Has anyone experienced the same before? Why am I troubling in this area? I've searched on the internet and I found no similar issues but tight ankles etc which is not what I feel or have. DISCLAIMER: I was also lifting weights and felt no such pain in any session. I had no problem in deep step ups, which I was practicing in every single session. This is the exact area that I feel that pinching/pain. http://imgur.com/DVjw9YD EDIT: Shall I warm it up by twisting or flexing it (even if it causes a little pain) or let it rest first?
