Super Pseudo Planche Push-Up

The Super Pseudo Planche Push-Up is an advanced push-up that moves the weight of the body forward, requiring additional lat and chest strength. It distinguishes itself from a regular pseudo planche push-up by practicing the foot lift. This added upper body stability advances you in the hollow back press progression list.

Super Pseudo Planche Push-Up

  1. This exercise is a combination of the planche lean, pseudo planche push-up, and bent arm straddle planche.
  2. Begin the push-up in a planche lean position, with your hands under your hips and feet straddled apart slightly (just outside of hip width).
  3. Lower down until your chest is just off of the floor.
  4. Lean forward slightly, maintaining strong protraction and depression, until your feet come off the ground and you enter a bent arm straddle planche.
  5. Pause momentarily before shifting back to the bottom of the pseudo planche push-up. Press back up and repeat for reps.
