This is my first routine, is focused to improve HS and some prerequisites to other more complicated drills and movements.
And yes, it's highly inspired by Ido Portal ![]()
( A )
A1. 10 sets Support position on rings
A2. 10 sets German Hang on rings
*no supersets, after the all 10 sets of support possition, you can go to german hang
B. Stamina
- 10 sets of handstand work + stretching
- 10 sets of front lever exercise (ice cream makers)
- 5' Accumulation L sit on rings
C0. High Bridge Hold 1'
C1. Rotations into Bridge-Advanced X 10 reps
C2. Two Arm Bridge Push Ups - Beginner X 10 reps
C3. Rounded Back Locked Knee Deadlifts (light - 15-40kg) X 10 reps + 10 sec pause at the end of the last rep
* Perform 3 giant set of C1/C2/C3
( B )
A1. Swedish Bars Back Support Hold X 10-30 sec hold
A2. Swedish Bars Front Support Hold X 10-30 sec hold
* Perform a total of 5 sets resting 60-90 sec between exercises
B. Stamina
- 10 sets of handstand work + stretching
- 10 sets of front lever exercise (ice cream makers)
- 10 giant sets 30'' L sit on floor + 30'' Straddle + 30'' Auxiliary work
C0. High Bridge Hold 1'
C1. Rotations into Bridge-Advanced X 10 reps
C2. Two Arm Bridge Push Ups - Beginner X 10 reps
C3. Rounded Back Locked Knee Deadlifts (light - 15-40kg) X 10 reps + 10 sec pause at the end of the last rep
* Perform 3 giant set of C1/C2/C3
I alternate it of the way:
Monday A, Tuesday B, Wednesday A, etc.. Sunday is rest day
and usually after the entire routine I incorpore some pull/push exercises like rope training, pull ups, push ups, single leg squats, deadlifts, overhead squats, HSPU, etc.. and always looking for quality instead of quantity
