Hey there, i knew about this forum for about 3 years or more, been reading you guys quite a bit but decided to post on forums just a days ago. Im doing gymnastics finally at my collegue gym and ive seen alot of improvement so far on fitness and strenght but i believe the training program of coaches at my gym makes lacks of "seriousness" in terms of teaching gymnastics methodology and strenght training, in fact in this year i had 3 different coaches and the trainings are sooo different from each other, also, the "improvements" i made in this year were more because reading and trying things i read or saw on youtube videos.
Im aiming for "serious" training but not having in mind in doing competitive gymnastics, i have all day free to train on this vacations so id like to make serious improvement, see if i can grab the coaches attention so they see im serious with this and train me better.
I read the book and some post but have some major issues with the acronyms etc, it confused me alot so this is what i tought after reading all, love to hear any advice or tips you have guys.
Train 5 days - week (about 1:30 to 2 hours of training)
Mon - Tuck planche - push ups kind of excersices ? - train handstands (still confused about how many reps and sets)
Tue - Front lever - pull ups ? - train for kip ups and bar swings
Wed - L sit - Core workout - running about 30 minutes
Thu - Back lever - chin ups ? train rolls on grass (since i dont have acces to the gym until classes start)
Fri - Leg workout (dont really have a clue what excersices i could do since i have right now a minor ankle sprain and had mid serious knee tenditis about a year ago, i dont really feel my legs are porwerful and im a bit scared of putting alot of stress on them and injury myself worse)
On saturdays i tought it would be ok if i do some tricking or parkour every other week for about 30 minutes until i return to the gym (since its the thing i really want to focus on, but still want to improve on gymnastics)
Also everyday i would strech for about 1 hour in the night specifically (obviously im going to strech on workouts too but less)this would be alright?.
If this can be useful information this was the workout i was doing with the last coach i had.
- Circuit repat 2 or 3 times
25 push ups
25 leg lifts (abs) center
50 leg ligts from both sides
25 squats (sometimes with a parter on shoulders, sometimes from a sit up to a squat assisted by a partner)
75 back excerscies (i dont really know how to name the excersice on english
)
That workout was ineed challenging for me but i surely could do it, what do you think about it ? mine will be "better" ? or you have better ideas ?.
Also here are some videos of myself if this could be useful to see on what strenght level i am, in gymnastics level i believe i dont really have any "level"
