HOW MANY EXERCISES??

in the book it says that for example that on day 1 you should combine curls with dips.so i'm asking.should i do 2 exercises at day 1?or i misunderstood?

There's many different types of routines, and the volume you're doing is usually more important than the number of exercises you're doing. If you do two exercises with a high volume for each, yeah, that can be enough in one training. But if you do normal volume, you should probably do more exercises in your session. For beginners (and advanced athletes can also use full body routines), it is usually adviced that they do full body sessions. To do a full body session, you need enough exercises to cover most big muscle groups.

i am doing calisthenics a lot and now i want to turn to gymnastics training.At calisthenics workouts i was doing splits for chest/tri,back/bi,shoulders/abs,legs and i was doing a couple of exercise 3x10 reps.now i will do 5x5 but how many exercises should i put in a routine providing that i will train 4 days a week? i am pretty strong for now,so i would like to hear your opinion
