Jhaek Posted July 13, 2011 Share Posted July 13, 2011 I want to tell you how i got keen on gymnastics.I was computer maniac 2 years ago, i played computer games 12 hours a day.My whole life was sitting in school and on the computer.But one day that all changed.I was in school and I was joking around with a guy from my class and there was his friend and he asked me if I wanted him to punch me becouse he was pissed off at me.I said yes and he did.I was totally beat up.From this day I wanted to change myself.I wanted stregth,power so I could change myself.I felt like weakling.So I found a friend that trains parkour and he motivated me to start training.I remember my first day training.It was at home doing push ups and sit ups.I did max on both and on the next day I was very sore.Weeks after that I asked my uncle to buy me a dumbbell so I can train other muscles.He bougth me 10 kg dumbell and I started training every other day with it.An year passed and I was getting stronger , but I knew this gaining would stop at some point and I thougth of doing bodyweigth exercises instead.My class mates could do pull overs and stuff and could bang 10 chin ups but I could do 3.So I started training pull ups instead with my dumbbell.I did 4 sets of maximal repetitions .Also I brougth my cousin with me.He was 10 years old and he was overweigth .He couldnt even do half a chin up but he never quit nor did I .We trained every day.Eventually I got to the point where I could do 15 pull ups and 19 dips and I was struck.My cousin however managed to learn the chin up with hard work.We knew patience was the key to success.I started learning pullovers and muscle ups and he started working on pull ups .Time passed and here we are - I can do full lay backlever ,wide muscle up on rings and many other things and he now does muscle up with one hand at time and a pull over .Im saying this becouse those things were our goals and we worked hard to get them.Even now we work hard to get our next.And 2-3 months ago I found this site in which I could ask more experienced people to help me and guide me and it was very helpfull.Thanks for reading Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
