i read online that i probably can, but then i read that only a high volume of reps in gymnastics can stunt your growth, im only aiming to do 2 or 3 gymnastic sessions per week,
can someone confirm this for me?

Only in the same way that lifting heavy weights can. Most coaches I believe do not train high intensity static positions like iron cross and Maltese until the athletes is older because of the extreme stress on the joints.
However as long as you progress in a smart way using coaches steady state cycles and appropriate intensity you should be fine.
This is nothing more than an urban myth. Gymnastics no more stunts growth than playing basketball will make you taller. Most people simply gravitate to the competitive sport which is most suitable for their particular phenotype.
