Hashbrowns Posted September 1, 2010 Share Posted September 1, 2010 So i cant remember where i saw this...and it might have been on this website...but there was this theory about learning new skills...it was that if you were physically prepared for a skill, and understood it than you could learn the skill fast. Does that mean that if someone who was very strong (strenth to weight ratio wise) joined gymnastics and understood the skills they could progress very fast? also if one mastered all the workouts and skills in building the gymnastics body...do you think that they could also progress very fast...obviously thats much easier said than done...but i just thought that was kind of an interesting theory..haha Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Learning new motor skills is more about CNS adaptations than conscious understanding of what needs to be done. Just think about Olympic lifts.
