kevp951
Hi guys & girls, Well it's been a couple of years trying to reverse the aging process but it's finally starting to show some results after about 2 years. Don't mind me mumbling something about being 28 in the vid, that's me just goofing off. Hopefully the real muscle up will follow eventually, but I can now jump into a muscle up & never could before. Did about 4 of these (1 at a time) and this was the last one so I was pretty tired. anyway here is the video link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nnp1hp4hBb0 Kev

kevp951
Thanks Mr. Brady!!! I started 3 years ago at 42 with Coach Sommers' book "Building the Gymnastic Body" and worked to the straddle planche where I tore a rotator cuff and had to back off a while. Take heed of his words "make haste, SLOWLY" because when you're over 35 things definitely change. Anyway it seemed like about 2 years and 10 lbs of fat it took to feel like the aging process started to reverse. I'm just starting to hit on all cylinders and hopefully I can start making some real progress. My shoulder girdle flexibility still is not where I need it so the handsprings on the spring floor are not up to par yet, I just started those yesterday. Anyway back to the book to rethink my strength training. 3 years ago I couldn't jump into a musclle up on those same rings jumping up off a foot high mat, so things are getting better. thanks for looking at my video! Neal Winkler
Where do you train, if you don't mind my asking?
kevp951
Team Central Gymnastics in Maryland Heights (St. Louis) on Tuesday night adult open gym....and I have a trampoline and Coaches Xtreme Rings in my back yard, but the back yard setup isn't high enough to do muscle ups because it's 2 fence posts (about 6 feet tall) with an iron bar running across the top of them.
