i've convinced my brother to train with GBW's and with the rings..(in the past he did bodybuilding, so che has a good level of strength) the problem is that he cannot train 4-5 days a week as me....so if he follows the progression of coach sommer what is a reasonable time to develop a front lever, back lever and straddle planche? he can train at maximum 2 times a week..maybe 3....

Sometimes it's better not to give estimates on times. It's good if you succeed by a certain time, but if you don't meet the time limit then you feel you're going slower than you should. Some people give up when that happens.

Bodybuilding doesn't really have a huge transfer into gymnastic positions, sadly. He'll start off stronger than the rest of the new people starting, but it won't be by too large of a margin. Still, it's a better start than many people have, so he's lucky! Things like how much he weighs and height are definitely things that can throw off estimates of when they can achieve something.

Some say planche can be gained in a year... So maybe straddle planche could be worked after about 8-10 months? I can't planche, so you probably should get another opinion on this.

thank you....i have another question....in my case when i started training planche, fl and bl i've try these skill at the same time alternating negative or pulls and isometrich hold...if i want to learn a skill like the flare is better train ONLY the flare...or is possible to learn different skill in the same training day...for example learn 3 skill, praticing them 3 times a week....each one for 20 minutes??

You can learn multiple skills on one day.

Just start with flairs (technique) and at the end with planches (strength).

I never liked to give someone estimeted time to learn something, because it can go either way: 1. way much longer then my estimeted time 2. much shorter time or 3. right on time

You can say maybe in 4 moths or whatever if it will go everything by plane.
