PE2 Mobility and progression

Hi all,

Done 2 PE2 Workouts now on step 1, and made the decision to go to step 2. Im now questioning that decision.

I feel like i can do a lot more on the headstand than 12 seconds and more sets as well.

As for the Mobility, again i feel like i can do more sets, but my arms aren't anywhere nearer to parallel to the ground as in the video (Probably abit above 45 Degrees).  They have defiantly improved over the 2 sessions and also after doing Thorasic Bridge stretches too.

So my question is, do i stay on step 2 until i can get my arms parallel or would i benefit from moved up as i feel i can do more until eventually step 9 and then wait at step 9 until i achieve arms parallel to the ground?

Thanks Phil

Hi Phil,

Great question. Continue to rate your workouts with the smiley system. You will eventually reach step 9 and work on this step until you've mastered the iM :)

I ran into this post yesterday, which addresses your question:  Shoulder Extension Form Check

Read the entire thread, but especially @Alessandro Mainente 's Nov 17 post (quoted below).

Quote

-first session ever with IM2 : find a grip where you can lift up to 90°

-reach 10'' with the grip of point 1

-reduce the grip at the point where 90° are still possible

-move on this way until you reach the shoulder width

-add weigth and find a grip where you can lift up to 90°

-iterate the process from point 2.

Thanks Both of you.  I'll try that Kenneth, sounds like a plan :D
