Having a lot of trouble get tight ppt... I'm currently at HS/PE3 progression ... can't pass, because lack of ppt (...) - Would it perhaps be ok to take a small jump on the HS progressions and add some of the element that works more intense on ppt?

Keep working on PE3 but to help strengthen your PPT, include HS/PE9>iM in your warmup. This will transfer over to your sPl work.
