Coach,

Just wanted to drop another heart-filled THANK YOU for the seminar you put on this past weekend.

I couldn't wait to get back to San Diego and see how much I remembered. I spent the whole plane ride home furiously trying to bring back to memory everything I could so I could get it down on paper. Needless to say God willing I will be attending your next seminar.

Special thanks to Dillon, Jeff, Carl, Sian, Scott, Billy, Milan, and Curly-Haired Matt for their contributions to the course as well...

BTW, my arm is feeling a lot better...my goals for 2009 were a back lever and a front lever, guess I can cross back lever off the list! Next up Straddle Press to Handstand (without a wall).

THANKS!!

Blair,

I did in fact do all 3 levels.

The great thing about this seminar was there was only four of us that stuck around for level 2 and 3 so we got to spend more time in areas we as a group wanted to, and spend less time on things we were comfortable with.

The high point for me was the "Hungarian Series"....

But I think I learned the most when it came to increasing active flexibility and strength through various ranges of motion.

I wish I could have gone. I will have to try to make the next one! (Hopefully it will be on West Coast  ).

The Giant here,

I only did the first day, since that gave me PLENTY to work with, and I also had work on Sunday.

I learned about myself that I am actually stronger than I thought, but of course such a long way to go.

I now want to get rings, practice that lock off and even just regular pushups, and of course the levers, at which I am in the totally tucked beginnner position.

Also loved the wrist pushups/stretching/conditioning series...major for me. Also got some GREAT feedback on my handstands from Dillon who was just an awesome totally nice guy despite being an utter badass. Here I thought my handstands were great but more core work to do. The bodyline stuff is worth your bodyweight in gold.

Oh, and Coach Sommer was great...so rare for someone to have the knowledge AND still drop it like science. I look forward to coming twice a year, learning, and sharing my progress as I mutate into a complete savage.

(Yeah that's my giant head towering over everyone in the back...)

Giant, wth. Are you like 6'7 or something. I though Aushion was over 6' foot when I met him during the summer. You look big, like viking big who weilds a danish war axe with 1 hand.

Yeah the Giant is a big guy...you gotta see him do his shoulder flairs (I don't know the b-boy name for these but I think you guys get what I mean...flairs not on the hands but rolling on the shoulders...they could put that into a movie and have computer animated bad-guys flying through the walls as the Giant spins and kicks them to oblivion).

There definitely were some longer levered guys there this seminar. Carl I think has at least a half an inch on me. And Matt I think must be 6'1" or 6'2", which was very cool to see...I'll have a hard time dropping that many lb's (kg's if you're not American) to have the bodyweight those guys have, not sure it's possible for me to weigh less than 200lbs (90kg)
