Inverted curls and RTO dips

*Disclaimer* I will attempt to progress to these skills a few years only after becoming proficient using the foundation series. I believe there were a couple of forums on these skills but they were only for those who wanted the basic progression to get to those skills. (This is just for curiosity's sake).

 

How difficult are these skills in comparison to, let's say, chin-ups and regular or even Bulgarian dips? From where I am at now, these currently close to impossible for me to even try out. For those who are at a proficient level of GST or are currently attempting these skills, what's it like?

Inverted curls compared to regular chinups? Curls far and away harder, especially beginning from a dead (inverted) hang. Stands to reason, can't bring to bear anything like the same amount of muscle.

Bulgarian dips compared to RTO dips? This one is a little tricker and possibly more subjective. RTO harder in terms of arm / chest strength. Bulgarian dips done corectly (all lines and 90 degree angles) substantially more taxing on shoulder girdle / chest flexibility. Some people may find regular XR dips easy and Bulgarian dips done perfectly a serious challenge, especially initially.

I am comfortable with RTO dips, not curls. I can lower from a shoulderstand to 90 or a bit further and pull back up for reps, but it's only once in a blue moon that I try it.

Thank you for pointing this out, especially with the chin-ups vs inverted curls. Is there a substantial difference between Korean dips and RTO dips; because they look similar but I guess this is true for the untrained eye? :(
