Hi

When i'm trying to point my toes during a head stand or any other exercise i often get cramps.

If i warmp up my feet it doens't appear as often but the problem is still there.

is it lack of flexibility or weak muscles in feet ?

I also have problems with deck squat and trying to remedy it with weight in front of my when i'm standing up.

In on of the posts regarding deck squats someone recommended stretch series for front splits.

Currently i'm doing F! and H1 4 times a week

If i would buy 3 stretch series how may days a week would i have to do them and how much time a day ?

Is any equipment required for stretch series ?

Thank you, Kamil

my feet sometimes cramp but it is usually away from training time and only when im laying down and separate my toes in an active fashion. this also usually happens when im dehydrated, so you want to explore your hydration levels when this is happening and experiment with drinking more water and getting in electrolytes.

doing the deck squats like that is fine for now and you can also use a matt behind you to help as well, but try if you do these to do them unweighted.

the front split series has definitely been changing my lower body mobility, calves included! if you think cramps during headstands are crazy, wait till you see the instep stretches.

as for equipment, i've gotten away with a wall, yoga mat, yoga block and some bands. i do the front split series and thoracic bridge once a week after Foundation or Handstands.

stretch your tibialis. stretch course for front split provides a good ankles release series.

I used to get foot cramps every time I did a toe point. Now they are less frequent and I ignore them when they do occur - they are part and parcel of the training.

Dehydration and deficient Magnesium levels have caused foot cramps for me. Mg supplements and green leafy vegetables will help with magnesium.

Thank you all for replies. That other thread is amazing too. This forum is such an amazing resource.

I drink vegetable smoothie every morning have multivitamin and magnesium so it can't be nutritional. I assume it's lack of flexibility.

On judo few weeks ago my sparing partner attempted a sweep and hit my right toe from the inside. Im not sure what happened it wasn't bruised or swollen up but when i'm trying to do the toe stretch from the video it hurts and it seems to be blocked where toe meets the foot. The other foot is normally burning from stretching but this is really bad. I ignored up till now because i thought it'll just get better. Should i get a scan done or something ?
