New to this type of training right now I'm doing static L Sit holds on parallettes, frog stands, front tuck lever and back tuck levers about 4 times a week. should i be focusing on only a couple holds? doesn't really say in Building the Gymnastic Body. any advice will help thanks.
How many static holds to train at once?

Four times a week is fine. Just stay away from back lever training until you have adequately developed your distal bicep tendon in both arms.
Being over zealous with training and injuring yourself isn't worth it in the long run. No one is older than the Earth we all live upon. Don't be in rush to attain something quickly. Here is a video of what happens to our body when it isn't adequately prepared for the back lever.
Competitive gymnasts don't even start dedicated back lever training until they have completed their Coach's prerequisite training requirements.
