lisiflex
After Christmas I wanted to get back to my old diet plan but wanted to ask what you think about it.Because a lot of people all talk about the Paleo Stuff at the moment. I am not a huge fan of carbs such as white bread, pasta or chips, but I do kind of need my chocolate milk after or during training...I train 20 hours a week (sports acrobatic), 5 hours are pure strength training.I am 5'3'' and 120lbs.I can't eat raw fruit because I get heartburn immediately. Also, raw veggies give me stomachache. My diet must be cheap, easy, quick and healthy as I don't live at home, I am out of the house the whole day and can't afford eating out. This is what I eat everyday:2 slices of protein bread with ham and cheese3 eggs (scrambles eggs)200gr of rice200gr of steamed chicken breast1-2 bananas1 small chocolate bar500ml of milk with a little chocolate poweredhandful of nuts (walnuts, peanuts or almonds usually)I also take one multivit pill a day.Nutritional value calculated says it is:2200kcal120gr carbs120gr fat140gr protein50 gr sugarWhat do you think? How do you eat? Keilani Gutierrez
thanks to reading up on nutrition and reading the nether regions of the nutrition forum, i don't feel quite so inclined to think in terms of good or evil anymore. i can get fat on complex carbs and i can induce arrhythmia with simple carbs, so to my current and still, immature understanding, i'd say it's good to know that all carbs are sugars and that there is a glycemic index, meaning how fast that sugar gets to the blood stream. the other things to know are the other exposures to nutrients, be in vitamin or inorganic/organic mineral and how that also impacts the way the sugar does it's thing in our body. i eat food, relatively clean, because two sour patch watermelon packs in a month is rare for me but still happens(like im november ) and measure what i need to reach a caloric number. lately, that's been a bit difficult due to a financial situation so i'm leaning out rather quickly, but if I were to total the amount of carbs i'd eat in a day, it'd probably look startling to some folks in numbers, but when you see it physically its not entirely impressive. also something to note is that i'm not gluten intolerant, i actually get very depressed and immunologic imbalanced and see very big differences in my workouts. so that's also something to take into consideration. as for numbers, i got little to say because i don't feel comfortable saying something if im not doing it, so we'll put a pin on that. Damon Amato
No food is inherently evil the same way that no food is inherently good without any context. Even the top 10 smartest nutrition experts would give you 5 or more different levels of carbs you should eat. It's a much more nuanced and individual topic than that.
