Hey guys,

as some of you may already know, i'm doing F1 for 7-8 months and today was a lucky day, i got H1 and read the full stuff, Coach has written down for us.

So i want to start today with testing mastery for PE Tripod.

Needed some time to understand the system of a single session, but finally got it, hehe.

Just wanted to say hello to the "new" community and let's do some progress.

Have to say it's really detailed, the whole programm, so many steps, nice!

Thanks Coach and the team for that.

Some exercises, like the "prone undergrip dislocate with weighted bar" are for what kind of people?

So lucky to be so far away right now from this PE  :D

Thanks for the evil part, Coach :icon_twisted:

(A note for Cory maybe...at HS/SE 6 Description is a mistake, i think, 5r says the text, but "Focus Points" say something about duration and the video shows me a static hold, or am i wrong? )

Is it a good idea to try some (wall-)handstands after the H1 session is done, although i'm starting right now and not able for a free one? Just for the funnier part, you know!

Ah, you got it at last! You will be glad you saved the money and will definitely enjoy it. Well maybe not PE2>iM.  :P

As for the mistake, if you mean SE6>iM, the mistake is indeed here. I'm guessing it should say 30 seconds.

Yea, feel free to play around after you finish H1. I do the same. a few 30 seconds fs hs after training, but never push hard like your actual workout. It's like you say, just for funsies :)

Hehe, yeah and i'm really looking forward to summer, to show my skills.

Seriously, i have this inner exertion to train the whole program H1 right now - you know what it feels like at the beginning...amazing motivation running through the veins

Ah ok, thanks for clearing this point for me!

30s free handstand...not yet! Yeah just a few attempts of HS for fun, after the evil stuff.

Before i forgot the question, are we supposed to do something between the sets e.g. for "Wall wrist rock walk" or "Fingertip Pushups"(the "4" )?

Or just relax the body, shake out and next set?

Oh, whats that? Another question...i couldn't find a "3days F1 + 3days H1" schedule in my workoutplanner?(wanted to train: Mo-Sa)

So, finally i got my good-night-shake next to me(no one likes to be alone, right?!) 'n can go on with typing, just a few thoughts and notes about my first H1 session, feel free to read or/and comment :)

Mission today was to find out, where to start, what's my level of joint strenght, flexibility...

Prior i did the wrist stretches of course, i felt sooooo unflexible! not that i didn't knew before, just damned!

my results of the test-session so far:

 -  Wrist Pushups PE 1 was easy, PE 2 was comfortable, but will go on with W 9 to achieve a bigger distance to the wall before go to PE3

 -  First Knuckle Pushups, here i mastered PE 1 and PE in a row and will start with W 5 for Pe 3, maybe i will scale this next time for PE 3

 -  Wrist Rocks, same as with First Knuckle Pushups

 -  Fingertip Pushups, same as the two before

 - Handstand, tripod i did 60s with ease, did the iM and i compared to the video and assert, that my mobility was good enough to go on.

PE2 was hard, what? Yes, i thought i can handle it, wrong. 30 Sec i could probably do, once i overbalanced to hard and felt(don't worry)

My triceps and shoulders had really hard work to do, i guess its because of my lack of balance and to much counterbalancing follows.

Will test again this PE, day before i had F1 session with hard sets of HBP/PE3(PPP) and my shoulders and triceps felt weak today(doms)

At the end i will not hurry with this PE and iM, i see i'll need some weeks for the iM, there are maybe 10-15 degree to work on and i like it!

So, my shake is empty, my stomach filled up.
Good night!

The programming for the wrist work is quite open, so you can choose sort of how you want to program that. Some people do a giant set of all the wrist exercises, shake it out, move on to the next giant set. Some people do a giant wrist set, then do some shoulder mobility warm ups, then the next giant wrist set. And so on. The big difference between H1 and F1 being that you can rest as long as you want in between work sets now; 2 minutes, 5 minutes, whatever.

Sorry, I'm not so sure the answer about your second question.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I saw prone undergrip dislocates for the first time. But it'll come together faster than you think! Just stay stubborn~~~ :)

William

Well after reading some of the topics around, i will make a foto of my PE1-im, think i did it wrong. But i will stick to PE2 in any case and i will do 2 iMs between the sets if necessary.

William

Here my first attempts on PE1-im and PE2-im:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-h91o1Ymq4s&feature=youtu.be

(still wondering why embedding videos isn't working for me)

I'm on headstand 5x36sec, never thought would be this hard for my triceps, today the feel like pumped iron, hard with a lot of pressure from inside.

And i tryed PE3 just for fun, was easier to hold for me than headstand, because i dont have to compensate so much with my triceps.

People wonder why there's no vertical pushing in F1...  This is why.  :)

Have you tried opening a ticket with Cory in regards to the youtube problem?

No, i didn't. Ok, good tip. I'll try this.

Odd, I felt that headstand was easy, and not hard on the triceps at all. Maybe you should underbalance less and push towards *almost* overbalance. The more vertical you are, the less effort it takes.

I know what you mean, of course i tried balancing in the front direction too, but i had to decide between more pressure on my head or on my triceps, so i took the triceps to built more power and to feel more safe with my head.

iM1: Position OK (from what I see), but you've to lean more forwards.

iM2: Don't bent your back to lift more the arms, keep it straight.

Take your time to progress ;)

Welcome aboard!

Thanks, Adriano.

iM1, i thought its the aim to go not to far forward with the lean(because its cheating) to get more rom? so i got this wrong...i can lean more forward if its ok.

iM2 i tried to hard, had some tendon pain in shoulders next day and i noticed i tensed my triceps very hard to get more rom, is this wrong?

Remove "&feature=youtu.be" from the end of your link and see if that works. If that don't work you can click the third icon from the top left "Special BBcode" select media and put your video URL in the box that says media URL, works everytime, also can be done by using [media"] url here [/media"] without quotations.

William

Ok, i got it, tried again with this(didn't worked last time) now its working with it [media] [/media]

Yeah you'll find more forward lean increases the core activation required, as well as the T spine activation.  Makes it harder.

I get some pretty awesome triceps cramps with PE2>iM.  I mostly train them after I finish my main workout, so I'm already pretty tired by this point.  I find it's a lack of strength more than anything that legs you get into position.

Next time i lean more and baam!

Oh boy, still sore my triceps :D

William

please have a look at my attempt of HS PE 4

And yes i know it! i'm really trying to kip my hip, tensing my abs and everything, but theres always this arch in lower back i cannot press down, not for a second.

But have to say thats a pretty good "less arch"-try for me in comparison to my natural hollow back

Micawberian

I would suggest to you, as Alex once suggested to me, to reduce the leverage of the movement by bending your knees just enough to get the body hollow. Work on your hip mobility a lot in the meantime and you will find yourself needing less and less bend as the weeks go by.

Also, sitting less is great for PE4.

I wasnt sure if it helps to stretch the hip flexors, first it seems like it would make it harder to kip the hip, which is kipped from sitting, right?

But stretching will allow me to kip more instead, because my legs are not pulling my hip so hard?!

Just want to understand the mechanics

But i will try stretching before, maybe the iMs too, we will see tomorrow i gues :)

Bro'

It is counter-intuitive but that's basically due to how your hip flexors attach to your pelvis. I find it easiest to understand with the iliacus or sartorius. These muscles attach to your ilium bones which are basically the top of your pelvis. When you PPT (POSTERIOR pelvic tilt), you point the top of your pelvis (ilium bones) towards the back.

This is why tight hip flexors (in essence, too short) prevent you from having good PPT.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_flexors_of_the_human_body#Hip

You can use the first link to find out where these muscles are located and how they attach to the bones. You can use the search box in the right upper corner to directly find the muscles (and you can pin them down). And there's also an option at the bottom of the left toolbar to be able to remove layers that block the view (nervous system, lymphatic system, skin  ). If you can't get it to work, I can always post a screenshot.
