The only thing you can do is train the movement in isolation and halo's can really help with that because it's less complex than the airflare. Mikael Kristiansen Posted May 19, 2014 Share Posted May 19, 2014 Your halo is fine. It is relevant towards airflare, but only in the way it swings. When you go low you miss the push from your shoulder and thats why it feels like it "slips". It should feel like you push strongly away from your palm. If I was you I would keep building rounds of the high version and slowly lower it by throwing more sideways, and also practice the low form. ThomasJG Posted May 25, 2014 Author Share Posted May 25, 2014 Thanks for the consistent input team.I have been trying to build rounds but I just havent had a good last few weeks going from handstand. My shoulder has been getting worse pain and I just havent landed any more then 2 in a row. No more 3s in a circle for the past week or two.So I started training from swing yesterday and I found I was more aware of my legs. I was unable to keep my right leg in at the throw but I was able to keep it in on the land. Here is a video of two from a swing. Ive never hit 3 from a swing so I think that could be the next goal. Also I do not like the mindset of learning tricks to impress people, it is an unhealthy approach, but that is just my opinion. Mikael Kristiansen Posted September 7, 2014 Share Posted September 7, 2014 Elbows are not bad but a bit too high. Go in a bit more diagonal with your body so your jump gets better trajectory. Elbow is easier to adjust like that than regular airflares, but they are harder to continue for many rounds. Think of your swing more like a halo. The leg sweeps past your body so your hips are aligned 90 degrees to the side of where the arms were when both were touching the ground. From there is where you push and you go over. It can be done with almost any angle of the body. This goes for both elbow and regular airflare Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
