first time gymnastic

my name is usamah qureshi. i live in Luton, i am deaf profoundly and i am interested join gymnastic club. i never before but i feel fit and ready.  anyone know local gymnastic club i can join ? how long session and what time and day?

There are probably a few Londoners around the forum, but until they chime in, why don't you try to google your local area for gymnastics training facilities?

I don't think being deaf should affect your ability to train gymnastics. I would start sooner rather than later.

As you'll know, you have to rely more on what you see for instruction. You'll also need a coach who understands the difficulties of not hearing and of always being in a catch-up situation.

I would recommend doing the online Foundation series as the instructional videos do not have sound, the guidance notes are written underneath. If you attend a seminar, Coach Sommer insists on silence when he is talking.

People will help you out on the forums with your questions and there is a lot of material covered in them. Plus, on the forums you won't have to deal with members' dubious soundtracks to their own videos :-)
