I think it is exciting that at your level other fit people are blown away by what you can do. Considering you are no where near where you will be eventually be following Coaches program.

Even though you are not that interested in Crossfit you should attend a class every 6 months to test how well the GST is working. When you are warming up with Rope climbs you will really turn some heads :)

That's my exact thought process. :)

To be fair, people with little knowledge of body weight training are easily blown away by a moderate level of proficiency because it's difficult to estimate how hard a movement is.

And vice versa; it's hard to explain the strength required for a cross for eg). as most people have no real frame of reference and the execution is relatively simple. As I get closer it keeps feeling further away

When I travel I sometimes go to crossfit gyms for the ropes and rings.  Everyone seems to be more impressed with muscle up than anything.  Last time I did 3 rope climbs without touching the ground and then worked my planche on rings.  I was approached by a guy who was only interested in whether i had a muscle up.   Just politely told him I did.

Have you done a CF workout lately. If you have, how did you find it?

I think you we need some GB shirts to wear to CF gyms. Mine could read "this beginners body was built by Gymnastic Bodies". The more advanced could wear "I am an advanced beginner and my warm up is your workout" ;)

Bro'

The actual advanced athletes could have something like 'Bow to me'.

Actually, I'm all for GB shirts.  Anyone else who wants one should like this post.

more like get to work and place in the KoTF. :D

The shirt thing would be excellent iMO, so many people would check it just for curiosity.

^^^ Would love a GB shirt!

I wear almost nothing with a logo on it, GB is one of the only organizations I'd be happy to publicize. I'd want it to be simple and classy though. I hate that "my warmup is your workout" crap (sorry mark!), I think it's too condescending/alienating. The recent 'front page' debate makes me think I might not be on the winning side of that one though :)

Same; I want people to ask me what it's about, not challenge me to pushups to the death ^_^

There's enough macho posturing in the fitness industry already; I like feeling part of a community that doesn't have time for that because they are too busy improving.

says the only person i've seen openly challenge a fellow GB'er to a pushup battle. #scoffs :P

I agree. That was a tongue in cheek statement. I hate when people are arrogant and wear shirts like that. There is no way Coach would agree to that type of shirt either.

I have a shirt ;-) For the first european seminar we made 2 t-shirts and a hoodie. It was done by one of the members here with logo approved by coach. I guess the thread is still here.

It turned out really good, still have them all.
