On top of the BIG head!
We should be leveraging Ido out of his position with CP and leveraging ourselves in.
CP already has a good relationship with Jeff so that plays into our favor.
He's a couple hours from me so I am close, and anything with him reaches a huge audience. Easily enough to justify spending travel money for Coach to come out for anything also.
Yes great idea, get Ido out and Coach, Nic or Orench in!
Is it time for me to become more aggressive with the Ido situation?
The following is a draft I have prepared (but not yet posted) in response to the latest question regarding Ido in the "standing double back" thread:
https://www.gymnasticbodies.com/forum/topic/12046-first-ever-standing-double-back-flip/?p=116680
"Ido is a long time former student of mine.
Most of his Gymnastic Strength Training™, that he likes to promote as his creation, he learned directly from me; either thru correspondence, my articles, personal visits with me, observing my students' training or thru attending my seminars.
He is also one of the rudest, most ungratelful SOBs I have ever met. And just like having a puppy who cannot seem to figure out how to be housebroken, eventually enough simply became enough."
You know, maybe it is time, and this thread has become the perfect segue.
Maybe don't say SOB - though we all agree on that.
arrogant, and manipulative would fit in there though
Perhaps just drop the SOB, keep it only semi personal but mostly professional

We really need a thumbs up emoticon
Perfect.
Thoughts, Orench and Cory?
We should be unanimous on this one, as it could cause a s#*t storm. Or is than an Ido storm?
Since it's Friday -

Perhaps add a line about Ido's biggest student (Johnny) also being trained through GST and/or about how he lifted all his movement stuff from another gentlemen (forgot the name) from the early 2000's.
"I also find it ironic that Ido's two strongest students (himself and Johnny Sapinoso) were both trained using my methods; yet never a word is spoken about this. At least from Ido's side of the fence."
I don't think we should drag Johnny into this.
The ripping off material is good. It's actually what we were discussing in London, not sure if Coach filled you in on the Ido's Big Head thing.
Only thought there is in the context of the current thread is Coach's statement already enough. Maybe save some ammunition.
Johnny was given an opportunity to work in this field and travel via Ido, hard to fault him for taking it.
I like Cole's idea of saving other material for later.
Actually, it is quite easy to fault Johnny for this.
- Ido is promoting him as an example of what is possible with Ido's protocols when in reality Johnny's blog and correspondence with me shows that he built his ring strength over a two year period using GB methods.
- GB has a signed NDA from Johnny.
- Let's make copies of Johnnies' blog (address is available in Johnnies forum signature) where he specifically addresses following the GB methods for years.
Sounds good to me.
Re: Johnny. I haven't exactly seen him crediting Coach Sommer in the videos Ido shows off of him doing Coach's Rings Series and such. Doesn't seem like innocent bystander to me.
Well when you put it that way....
Good points Coach. I'll retract the Johnny clause.
Cory,
Let's also make a copy of Ido's old blog post where he talks about how wonderful his trip to arizona was where he stayed with me and observed the guys training.
Is that still up? Absolutely need to grab that, good thinking.
Then there is that gem of an email he sent you last time he was in AZ.
