For some time ago i saw a video of chen yibing doing his thirty minute wall handstand, but only show a little about his training and i decided to try it. I did my first attempt on november 22 of 2012 and i did 5 minutes and a half and then each week regulary i got an advance of 1 or one and a half minutes, but when i achieved the 18 minutes take me a month to reach the 20 minutes, but finally i did it and i know that it's possible to do thirty minute wall handstand like chen yibing he has an olympic gymnast who train for years and i think that thirty minutes handstand it isn't too much for him.

I believe Coach Sommer once commented that some chinese gymnasts had to do upwards of 30 minute to 45 minutes. Not on a regular basis but more of a punishment at times though they generally did 20 to 30 minutes

I think that was a 30 min block of time to train ring HS. Not a single set :-)

rude...

Though, if you watched the whole thing, you must lead a pretty boring life.

Haha, nice. My best has been a 10-minute hold with shaking out and a five minute one without lifting an arm. It's good shoulder therapy, though the longer handstands are pretty brutal. You can do some fun stuff with against-the-wall handstands too - like see how long you can hold a bent arm handstand, or how long you can wall-run, or wall HS on parallettes, or wall runs on parallettes, or a half pirouette every 30 seconds to a minute.

Playing around in the handstand is what makes it fun for me - do a few sets of one arm handstands, or narrow handstands, or wide arm (japanese), or one bar handstand (quite tricky). So many possibilities!

Yes, this it's only part of my normal training i always do this at the middle of my normal training, but i only do this 2 times a week because in the rest of the day my upper body feel very tired. I also practice  OAH and i also use rings and parallelletes, for me this isn't only physical training it's a lot of mental training too.

This is the most boring video I've ever watched

I know tha's boring to see all the video, but i only want to show that it's possible to hold it for extended period of times, because a lot of times we only read or listen to someone who can did something, but in the world are many people that haven't the opportunity to know someone do it and now with the internet we can see someone even in a video.

You saw the video, but the difference is that i did that video and you only saw it. For others this can be an inspiration for achieve their dreams no matter what.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude. I should have added a smiley face.
