what are your experience in regard to these two things?

have you ever experienced no progress over planche on pbars due to poor grip strength? at how % these 2 things are related?

i'm searching to do a statistic. i notice that my planche wasn't progressing some time ago...at the beginning i though about low strength level but as the exercises remain the same i only added rope climbing during the last 3 weeks...and then seems that the grip was the weak point...

i've always though that work every exercises with fingers grip as pullup and isometrich exercises could be useful...but only rc seems to work the grip in the right way!

what's your experience?

thanks

If you have strong grip and wrists, your fingers can bear some of the load in a parallette planche. That's probably where your improvement came from.

Rope climb is definitely more grip-intensive than pullups, since with the rope-climb, your grip has to be strong enough to provide the friction that keeps you from slipping, whereas with pullups your fingers acts as hooks.

Well for me, my wrists are the limiting factor for PB planche and I never really bothered to spend time on developing the wrist flexibility and conditioning yet so I mainly train floor planches. I never knew that grip strength could be the main weak point for PB planche. So how many percent were they related in your case or how much have your improved once your grip got stronger?

What about one finger grip/holds on bar in comparison to rope climb?

in the bar movement i usually don't use the thumb, on the other side on the rc i use always the thumb in the grip.

i noticed that in my gym i'm the weakest performing a handshake really...but i'n the pullup i usually do heavy weigthed pullup (qith 50-60kg) but my fingers are strong...when the thumb is involved like a grip of rc or planche...my handshake becomes weak...

so nothing better of train the grip to gain strength in my weak part!
