Thanks so much you guys!! This has been a real thrill for me to get back into competing.   I progressively started tweaking my workouts to prepare my body for competition ---incorporating   much of the  GBs conditioning and mobility training that I have learned  through the seminars and the BtGB book.

I qualified to the state meet - WOOT! :) - which is this Saturday - wish me luck....here is a link to the run down my my last comp with videos!

There are not many women that still train gymnastics and compete in their thirties. Most gymnasts retire in their early twenties - I may be wrong with this bit. Does anyone know why a lot of gymnast retire so young? I find it bothersome that aren't many older people practicing gymnastics. I understand a lot of thirty something year old women will have full time jobs and children to look after.

One of those reasons why I favour Germany's Oksana Chusovitina over most young girls. She was 37 at the London Olympics.

Plus there's this Coach Meggin, a thirty something year old women who makes tons of gymnastic tutorials on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/user/MyHairycat
