Foundation 1 Version Question

Hi

 

I have a question about foundation ebook versions. As i understand, there are 2: for PC and Ipad. How come there are different types, why there isnt just one version? Because i can transfer "normal" epubs to ipad and read them on computer,what makes foundation series so different?

 

And if i buy ipad version, i cant read it on computer and vice versa?

Cory can correct me if I'm wrong, but the reason is the embedded videos, and lack of readers that support it even though it's part of the epub3 standard.
