Strap Ring Plank Circle

The Strap Ring Plank Circle is a ring support progression that builds basic straight arm strength without using full bodyweight. The LARS strap is especially helpful to protect the biceps and tendons from over-extension.

Strap Ring Plank Circle

  1. Set a pair of gymnastic rings just off the floor.
  2. Be sure you have a set of leverage assisted ring strength straps (LARS straps) attached.
  3. Slip your arms through the straps, fix them around the thickest part of your forearm, and grab ahold of the rings.
  4. Assume a proper straight arm plank position with your shoulders over your hands.
  5. Turn the rings outward, past parallel, and keep them this way throughout the exercise.
  6. First, perform a set of outward circles with the rings, then switch directions and perform the same number of inward circles.
