Lizard Walk

The Lizard Walk is a basic exercise intended for adults to help find and address mobility deficits. The lizard will address shoulder mobility, hip mobility, and knee stability.

Lizard

  1. Begin kneeling on all fours,stay low to the ground, and lift your knees slightly to enter a crouch.
  2. Extend your right arm and leg straight in front of and behind you while bringing your left knee and elbow close together.
  3. Allow your torso to drop low as your right limbs extend.
  4. Now stay as low as possible and crawl forward.
  5. As you crawl, press through and extend your left limbs fully and bend your right knee and elbow bringing them close together.
  6. Your goal is to keep your shoulders at or below the height of your bent elbow in the extended position.
  7. Lizard crawl forward, alternating sides, for time or distance.
