Elevated Thoracic Bridge Push-Up

The Elevated Thoracic Bridge Push-Up is a weighted mobility drill and a progression toward the full bridge. It intensifies the mobility drill in the shoulders, so the athlete can focus on bending through their upper thoracic spine.

Elevated Thoracic Bridge Push-Up

  1. Begin in your best elevated thoracic bridge position.
  2. Bend your elbows and lower your head to the floor with control, keeping your hips high.
  3. Press back up and achieve a proper bridge again.
  4. Pause, be sure you have maximal thoracic extension and a proper bridge, then repeat for reps.
