This is more directed at coach, but anyone can chime in.

I'm in the last week for the adv. tuck planche using the protocol given at the seminar and I have tried out the next variation a couple of times. The one leg straddle feels very odd to me. I feel quite a bit of rotation and it becomes harder to balance for me than the straddle planche. Generally I would never ask this question but is it ok to go straight to the straddle planche from the adv. tuck if that feels more natural?

i really hate thi variation, but coupling it with the mobility exercises lets to me to correct the straddle planche on the pbars.

but i did the adv tuck to one leg straddle and return to tuck, and reapeat for the other leg. 2 weeks ago i wasn0t able to do 1 rep without fall, now 2 in row for each side. really works for me after a great warm up, if your legs are not opened the exercise is more similar to a one leg full planche extension.

i think that this step is necessary to feel how to extend correctly the legs into straddle planche for what is concerned with hips extension ad feel elevation at the same heigth as shoulder. without doubt you can get the most benefi if you couple it with the mobility exercises wich can give to you a very big transfert.

the only thing i didn't wrote is what is the template of this exercise, is based on time (3x10s or 3x30s) or on reps (5x5) template?

Straddle Modified Reverse Hyper is the mobility element that goes with Single Leg Straddle Planche.

thanks for the clarification!

No problem. I can't wait to get to this progression. Tuck planche is by far my biggest nemesis to get past.
