front lever= horizontal rows in a very, very demanding position.....

horizontal rows= rhomboids, trapezius, lats, and so many other muscles in the back group

Hey guys, sorry this is so late. Heres the hold:

And Here are the pullups:

I know the form is abit sloppy and am piked at the hips a little, and the camera is in a bad angle.

If anyone can help my form, tell me.

Like you said your form is piked. The body isn't in a nice hollow position. Also that honestly isnt long enough to consider it a good hold. Can you hold the adv. tuck for 15 sec without loosing good form?

The fastest way to progress is to train at your level but not beyond. Maintaining correct form is crucial, sacrifice it and you will be training the wrong muscles.

There's also not much ROM in the FL rows and you should use an easier body position where you can at least get close to a 90 degree angle at the elbows. Also, don't be fooled to think you're very close to the full FL like what you said in the video of the one leg out FL when your other leg is tucked very close to your chest. That's probably only slightly harder than 90/90 adv tuck. It would probably be similar to half lay if your bent leg was at least at 90 degree adv tuck angle. Just letting you know and keep training man you will get it for sure.

the reason why it wasnt a long hold is i wasnt warmed up and i was very sore. I can hold advanced tuck with perfect form for 31 seconds. Yes the pullups were hard. Ive had a longer hold with better form lately. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.

Travis, Honestly every time you post something looking for advice, it seems to me, that whenever it is given to you, you dont want to here it. Yourn excuse this time was Oh i wasn't warmed up enough. Then you should not have shown us the video until you were if it was going to get you better results. Secondly, I have been trining ther front lever for a year and a half and am still in the tuck. Why? I compromised my form. So I went beyond hwere i should have and had bad form so i have had to go back to tuck 3 times. The long and short of it is this, if you can only hold a 31 second front lever tuk with what you say is good form, thats not long enough. You have to do that for three sets, but would be more ideal if you could hold it for a minute straight. Stay with the tuck for now, because you form was sloppy with the one leg out

Just keep training, Tavis. Get a better pull up bar so you can do your FL training with hands at more than shoulder width (and get some rings). And keep telling yourself: “I will keep going step by little step, even knowing that it may take me five years to get thereâ€. And don’t make the mistake of a lot of people who think: “If I can’t make it happen tomorrow, then I might as well give up nowâ€.

Yes i know i will get it eventually. won't give up. As for the rings, i have the jungle gym XT. suspension trainer. seems like it does the same thing as rings.
