So i have just gotten my press handstands i could do them without thinking against a wall even if just my head touches because it keeps me balanced... but freestanding is a different story i still can do it just very hard because i ether haft to roll out or crash on my side here is a video of were I'm at. If you know a way to help me improve this I'd be great full or if i am wrong and balance is not my issue please tell me!

also as a side note this is the first time using forums about it I've never actually looked into gymnastics form for it so please don't barrage me about that it's happened in other posts i made with strength progression moves similar to this i am interested in how to make it better just not in hearing my toes are not pointed etc(was once told once that on my front level my fingers were to far apart and had an entire discussion on this and i did not learn anything due to that one comment... only reason why i bring it up)

form follows function. If you are on a gymnastics strength forum you need to be prepared to receive critique on every aspect of your performance.

Aesthetic value of the skill is a big part of what we do here, so if you need to point your toes to make it better, then do it

You are starting your press with your legs too far apart, which mean you have to lift the hips farther. For now start with the feet as wide as the hands

Make sure that when you shift the weight to your hands both legs come off the ground at the same time. When the legs come off the ground and the hips lift, then go to your wide straddle.

Also, this is a straddle press, not a tuck press, so keep the legs straight.

In addition, the whole press needs to be controlled and I think you are trying to get up faster than you can handle

How is your freestanding handstand? This is pretty important when working presses

to say the least they are not... i could maybe hold one for 10 seconds if i was on a good day. and i put the last one in the video were i crashed to show one i went slowly into it looked better feet came off closer to the same time but i did crash think that's due to my freestanding handstand? and alright i see what you mean by it makes me do more work when I'm first learning it.

and i see how i came off bad with the form think but once i posted a help video for my front lever on why i had a lot of trouble straightening out and one person said i need to spread my fingers apart for a better grip and that sparked a 4 page hand placement argument i guess when an actual answer ii had to experiment with to find out i was not using my legs so they were pulling me down i like the form and i like making it better but when it goes off in weird directions like it tends to do a lot of times to get away from the actual question.
