hi, i open this topic to see if there is an optimal way to reach the front lever position..

some months ago i had reached the full front lever but, cause it wasn't stable, i use the previous version without know that there was a intermediate step between the full and the straddle called the half full lay...so also i had doscovered it i continued to work on straddle fl, now i reached the 28 second on straddle so i think is time to walk on the half full..

and what is the best way to reach it?

-negative from inverted hang?

-straddle then half full lay?

-full FL then half full?

what are your opinion?

thanks to all

i think i can do full fl now, but for me the progression is straddle to half full lay, so i did it...in hte las cycle i was doing 3-4 sets of 10 sec of straddle...i don't know why but after the 12 weeks of this cycle i gain an impressive amount of strength wih let me to 28 s of straddle...the question is only about reach the position!

for me get the connective and articulr adaptations is more important than pure stength gain...

I think getting into the half lay position in an inverted hang and then lowering feels the most natural, but you can just keep decreasing the angle in straddle to make it harder. If you can still do a full front lever then you could also just gtg with it and strength gains for it will come pretty quick.
