I don't think you can actually get value for Invert Cross HS to Planche nowadays since the last code revision because your body is lowering. I think it was in the code in the previous quad, though.

today i'm my gym i saw a guy who was doing 2 particular movements:

-one was a sort of butterfly pull to planche

-and the second (the form wasn't great, i don't know if he was only playing with it or he wants to insert it in a routine) was maltese push to inverted cross and then press to handstand but he didn't stop in inverted cross..is a unique movement or maybe he can't stop yet in inverted cross i don't know (here he bend his arms)

are these 2 skill in the code of points? is something new?

Hello,

The first skill is a variation of balandin, which is a vertical straight arm pull to maltese. It is not currently in the Code, maybe in the future but I doubt any one could register it by name since its a variation of a variation. The second skill is in the code as Maltese to HS and has a D value, although in this one you don't have to pass by inverted cross. Again, no recognition.

Regardless of recognition or value, the guy at your gym is very strong.

Hope it helps

thank you...but at his level he needs skill cleaned not only stronger or you can get deductions in a competition...

but yes he is stronger but i'm surprised that he can try balandin to planche but he can't balandin to inverted cros..ehm his inv cross is not very good

Blairbob

Balandin to Inv Cross. Quite a bit more ROM there.

Alessandro Mainente

maybe blair you can answer to that...

you take a different point in a competition if you are using a different way to achieve a movement? i explain more...

i saw on the web 2 different way to achieve back lever push to maltese..

-one of these i saw in a video of the monster brandon wynn (you can digit "going up" in youtube) , i listened in one of his video that he stopped in back lever also blocking his body with triceps on the lats and this makes the tansition more easy...

-the other is the yan mingyong version...he doesen't use any help of triceps to support, for a little time, his body...he has the amrs more opened and he simply press to maltese...

these 2 tecniques let to the same score?

Blairbob

Same score. There is no deduction for resting the triceps on the lats in BL.
