hi to everyone can i have a opinion from you of one thing? i'm learning a particul breakdance skill , usually as i do for gymnast skills i've tried to divide the skill into pieces and after try to learn the transition and after i tried to put them in one unique skill...the problem was that some stages are particular and is difficult to try them separately..consider that the 99% of the persons learn it using everystage from the beginning!! others use some "dream machine" to learn the tecnique in a safe and correct way and after they transfer it to the floor! from your point of view the process to learn has to pass from the every stages learning them separately or is acceptable to use some dream machine to master the tecnique?or if is possible to have a spotter can i use it?

what is the best approach for you?

This is just a general opinion, not specifically about break deancing,

but if it's possible to learn something "at once" i feel that it's more natural than

piece by piece. It flows better.

If something is too long or hard to do that, then you do have to break it up.

But either way, if you learn it piecemeal, you usually have to go back and practice it so it flows naturally.

And if you learned it at once, unless you are exceptional, you have to focus on strengthing areas that are weak.

So in the end, it is hard to tell the difference.

But more naturally adept, gifted and very experienced people seem to pick up things at once

more quickly than average, which can drive less adept people crazy :)

It could be helpful to practice with a machine to get the general flow,

then break it into components and work those until they are successful,

and put it together into one routine (without the machine) which should flow fairly naturally.

If that is possible.
