Samuel Carr
I've been doing a log of research on mobility work as well as soft tissue and self myofascial release techniques using foam rolling and a lacrosse ball. Since I haven't been able to find anything on when to implement this work in my reading, my question is: when should soft tissue work/SMR (using a foam roller and lacrosse ball) be implemented during a workout? I know mobility work is best done as part of the warmup but does the same go for soft tissue work or is it better to do it at the end of the workout? This seems to make sense too because I've read that's it's good to stretch out with static stretches afterwards which normally come at the end of the workout anyways. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.
Quick Start Test Smith
I don't know for sure, but I use a foam roller and lacrosse ball, too, and Slizzardman has told me that I can either do it before training or at least four hours afterwards.
