Hi

Im getting well along on my handstands and hspu, with future goals of onehandstand... My planche and fl progression is slow but steady...

But all this is easy to find tutorials and tips for, but what I dont find is a guide on what to start with to be able to stand on only my head without using the hands as support.

Im guessing a extremely solid handstand (for bodycontrol) and a strong neck is a good base to build on...

This is of course just something to have fun with but I imagine it will require some work to achieve.

My guess, and it is only a guess, is that paramount to being able to do this one must tense their body incredibly, both front and back side, legs, arms, etc. Sure, strong neck and balance are needed but to complete it you need that tension.

Look through Handbalancers post. He wrote some good tips about headstands without hands.

I've done a yoga headstand called Mukta hasta sirshasana (spelling?) where the arms are extended and the weight is on the head and the back of the extended hands. It may be a good progression?
