finally after 1 years and 3 monthsi pass from straddle planche to full planche, my max hold is 1.5-2 seconds, starting from split position, leaning forward with soulder and lift up the legs passing from straddle PL..

i hope i can increase the max hold...is tremendously difficult

thanks to all, i have a little question, in many post i've read that the correct planche has an hollow body position, but i can't understand how to achieve it. In my photo what should be changed?

It took you a year and 3 months to go from straddle PL to full PL??

Freakin awesome man! I will freak out and when I can hold an adv. tuck. So jealous. You are hollow dude! Your toes are pointed and you are not arching your back. The only thing i see wrong is that your hips are slightly above your shoulders as mentioned above. Great job!

No no, from my first first straddle straddle to full PL about 6 months, following the embedded programs of the book, for me worked very well

Seiji

Awesome! What other goals do you have for this year?

Just out of curiosity, how long can you hold a straddle planche?

Alessandro Mainente

at the beginning of the session 10-12 seconds, during the session 6-7 secs, depending by the situation, when i'm in the breaking day i usually to more stretching for the legs so, if i can open my legs more i don't have to lean to much foward and is more simple the hold.

for the 2011 i want to do backward roll to support controlled, fix the handstand on rings, increase the full FL max hold, and achieve some breakdance skill.

everything depends from the work, university, possible injury etc.

i'm not a gymnast, , my priority is preserve my body from injury and continue in this activity if one skill comes 1,2,3 months later is not important.

Ok, so from day 1 that you started training for the PL, it took you 1 year and 3 months to get the full PL then? Is that what you're saying?

Justin Kyle

Jiggity jealous right here!!! That planche looks sooo good brother. Well done!

Alessandro Mainente

yes is correct what you say, but consider that the breaking activity before start the GB program helped me a lot to take a basic strength

What do you mean here? Breakdance?

Alessandro Mainente

yes breakdance. breafore know the gb method my ideas of training is perform some movememnts wich can help me to develop the skill, this movements where hs push up, free hs push up, bridge push up, tuck pl push up, body lever , russ leg lift etc, i didn't know that after i will use the same movements in gb methods....i had feel that this type of pre-breaking training had caused a unbalanced body! this is the reason why i have just achieved some skill wich required strength in shoulder, pecs, triceps, but other where biceps and expecially the BACK are required ,like FL, are hard for me...i'm start from zero with the back training but with gb progression the strength in my back increase faster as i thougth . i HATE with all myself front lever.

Timy7

great philosophy alex I like that, and from someone who just got his straddle planche yesterday your full plannche looks amazing!!

Alessandro Mainente

i think that everyone who puts all himself in this training to achieve some goals...he can achieve them!!!

more days pass...more time i want to pass into the training!!! before the gb wasn't in this way for me!! sometime the activity was a burden, it was reluctantly!!

now is different! i wake up every morning and the first thing i think is "can i training today??"

i'd like to train everydays, 24 hours on 24 hours!!!

i think that my goals are only the passion that i put in this sport (and for me is only pommel horse and rings)!!

since i go to the gym (or i training in my house) i feel energy! power! passion! emotion! the ability to overcome myself everytime! i'm finding myself in wath i'm doing!!!

this is what infuse to me the power of will!!!
