I've been drilling Back Tucks for a while now and I want to move to a Standing Back Pike -> Standing Layout -> Standing Full. My problem is my Back Tuck isn't high enough, I can do a Pike but it's low and kin of sloppy. Any tips on how to improve my standing Back Tuck (gain more height and land chest up) also, how do you do a proper Standing Layout? any drills that I can do, tips, tricks etc. ?

Thanks Guys

this thread is useless without you posting a video

There is plenty of general advice to give but we cannot fully help you without knowing first what your mistakes are.

There are not a lot of people who can do a proper standing layout, it is quite hard. Standing layout and pike are not prereqs for standing full

Holy! It's Yuri ( I see you in TS often ) Yeah, I rarely see people do a proper Standing Layout, they always end up piking it. Anyway I'll try to post a video but I don't think it's necessary now. I'll work on my Back Tucks instead, any tips on how to get more height?

damn, nice kicks bro

anyway, your standing tuck is actually pretty good. the main thing you could do to get more height is lift your arms further. try to hit the full open shoulder position in the air before you start to tuck. your arms only come up halfway robbing you of some height.

really when you take off the ground you should be in full body extension with a slight lean backwards to get rotation.

also even though this won't technically make you go higher it will give the appearance: try to tuck more aggressive and tighter. the tuck now is fine the way it is but if you spin faster and come out sooner it will look more dramatic

I've never seen a standing layout, some get closer than others but everyone pikes at some point. I've seen a layout step out but it was done with the right leg doing a swing (similar to a gainer but with no run). It was from a stand still but not technically a standing layout, perfect form for the whole rotation though.

the alexx from TS is from the UK

btw, here is the best standing layout I've seen. The guy has springs in his legs though

He is very good but like I said everyone pikes at some point and to finish the rotation he pikes (almost to 90 degrees if you pause). It's close and the guy is awesome but it's still no standing layout.
