I was going to the auto body shop to get my car fixed today, and I noticed a pile of old tires by a dumpster in the back of the shop. I talk to the manager and he says that they're all waiting to be recycled and that they're charged by the tire for pick up. I asked if I could take one and he said sure it saves him money when people take/steal tires, so I go home, tie a rope around it, pile some weights in, and had fun =)
moral of the story: go to your local auto-body shop and get yourself a tire -it helps you and the shop!
