My student Allan Bower recently placed second in the all around at the US Jr National Gymnastics Championships and is also the new Jr National Champion on Parallel Bars. Below is a very nice newspaper article on his victory that came out today.

E.V. Victories: Chandler Boy Wins Gymnastics Honors
BILLYE JILL PAULSON, TRIBUNE
Chandler’s Allan Bower, a gymnast at Xtreme Gymnastics in Scottsdale, took second overall in Level 9 all-around, third on floor and became the parallel bars national champion at the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympics, held May 8-9 at Battle Creek, Mich. He finished in the top 10 in the other three events in a field of 280.
Bower, 13, also made the U.S. Junior Olympic national team, for the third year in a row.
As Allan is now one of the very top young athletes in the U.S. and the U.S. is one of the top gymnastics countries in the world, this means that Allan is now one of the top gymnasts for his age in the world.
