Does anyone have experience or insights on how to structure training around nerve damage/pain in the ulnar nerve? Elbow flexion exercises are triggering as are exercised that put lots of pressure on the palm or elbow.

Hi Daniel, the only one client i hd with this problem decided to have a surgery for a nerve decompression. Keep in mind that yuu cn have 3 main situations:
- nerve tear : means loos of strength especially in case of motor nerve, in case of sensitive nerve yuu can feel bruise and loss of sensibility to pain etc. it usually occurs iwth strong trauma.
- chronic nerve compression/pinch: surgery is usually required. it occurs due to genetic and reperitive movements.
- temporary nerve pinch: is enough to rest and avoid elbow flexion. it occurs with extreme range of movement.

I'd say get surgery if it's chronic. I fiddled around for almost 2 years trying to get my nerve issues under control in both arms. I wasted a lot of time. It's a really easy quick surgery. You can start doing things pretty quickly. If it's in both arms just get a bidet for the toilet and get them both done at once. You won't be able to wipe for a day or two
Turns out that I have carpal AND cubital tunnel syndrome in my right arm. Mild carpal tunnel syndrome in my left arm and ulnar nerve issue in my right elbow. Gonna be training the SLS progressions hard (well intelligently challenging I should clarify) for a bit until these issues resolve themselves. May also dabble with some more regressed front lever, manna, and side lever work too. Sigh, the struggle of getting older without proper physical preparations...
