Dear GB'ers
Deadlifts -- at which point in our training are we supposed to implement the 1 set - 10 rep everyday deadlift? Is it after we have completed SLS progressions all the way through level 4?
Best regards,
R

Hey Rafael, well implementing the deadlift is a choice that does not depend on your level on other things in the sense that doing 1x10r if you have a bad technique won't give you any type of benefit. deadlift techiqnue is a skill and it should be implemented properly if you want to obtain benefits from it.
Alessandro,
Thanks for your response.
I guess my question here is:
"Should I complete the SLS series through foundation four to work out all of the kinks (imbalances, weaknesses, etc.) before implementing proper deadlift work?"
also, do you recommend purchasing a trap bar or straight barbell for this type of work?

I think that you do not need to wait. Deadlift is usually done with single bar. Trap bar is a sort of mix between squat and deadlift.
Thanks again. One more thing, which variation of the deadlift should I be implementing ? Straight leg, Romanian, sumo?
Also what is the main purpose of the exercise? Flexibility/mobility?

This depends on you....different variations have different goal. i mean , is in your goal to simply include deadlift because it ca be a good idea or there is another motivation? because deadlift itself is good for strentht if you do powerlifting or if you do some acrobatic skills...but for the rest...it has only a little range of motion..
Mainly to improve my tumbling and performance on the pitch.
