it is irresponsible on the part of the father. too much, too young.

Well, I think if the kid is having fun, there's no reason he shouldn't do this. If his parents forced this on him and he's only smiling to make it look like he's enjoying it... then honestly those are some terrible parents.

I've seen this kid before on the discovery channel... His family are all strongmen. Even his daughter is ridiculously strong. His father started training him by tying rice to his limbs when he was a baby, and when he got used to it, added some more rice. The part that makes it more of a science experiment than a son; he coaxed his kid into weightlifing by giving MINTS if he completed exercises. Not candy, mints.

It makes me wonder how this child will end up in the future.

Giuliano and his 3yo brother, Claudio seem to have just good genes for being crazy strong. There is a video on that channel of his 3yo little brother doing tiger bend pushup to HS, or HSPU to bent arm planche. Whatever we called it. It's similar to a Bower.

I haven't heard of his sister, though.

His muscle-ups are impressive, especially since they are wide arm. He needs to work on his support and lever technique. He should not be working on this Bulgarian dips or Iron Cross yet as his support needs refinement.

Greece should have gyms, he should be in one of them.

who knows whether he enjoys it or not.

either way his dad is

1) exploiting his son by showing him off on youtube like that

2) asking people to give donations

which is wrong which ever way you look at it

Come on, Ray Charles could see through this...

This kid is not a happy camper. No kid in this age understands and likes to push the body so hard. He is experiencing pain in large amounts and frequency in order to reach this level, way too much pain, especially since he cannot yet understand and make a choice about experiencing this pain.

This father has forever demonized himself in the eyes of his child. He made a big mistake when he started all of this. His child will never be able to see his father as something else besides the reason for the physical pain he was experiencing at so young of an age.

I am all for training your kid, but it should be approached as play and only with positive incentives, no negative ones.

Helio Gracie understood very well the pressures his kids have when approaching competitions, due to the family name. Instead of putting more pressures on them, he was known to say this: 'if you get first place, you get nothing from me. It is present enough. If you lose, then you will get a present for me.' This way he neutralized the pressure off his children. A child wants to win, he doesnt need any further incentive. But if he loses, you show him you love him and appreciate his efforts none the less. This way, he cannot lose. This method have produced more champions than any other family have ever produced. We should all learn from this.

Ido.
